Located on historic 5th Street in Syracuse, Nebraska, and serving handcrafted Nebraska Wines, Safehouse Winery is a great place to spend a relaxing evening. Originally built as the town’s bank, the building itself, as well as the many other period pieces throughout the space, hearken back to a bygone era. Visit and examine the original vault and safe, which gave the winery its name. Take in the ambiance while enjoying the wines, and imagine a group of “wise guys” scheming at a corner table. Indeed, you will find their “mug shots” hanging on the wall.

Our wines are made exclusively from grapes grown at our family-owned vineyard, located in the nearby rolling hills of Johnson County. The wines range from sweet to dry, with eight selections normally available. Peach Fuzz, made from peach-infused Edelweiss, offers a sweet treat, while lovers of dry reds may sample Prime Rate, a bold, yet smooth-tasting delight made from the Norton grape.
